Upper
Primary
(Grade 3 to 5)
Al-Taqwa College Upper Primary school consists of year levels 3, 4, 5 and 6.
Our College family-oriented and Islamic values are reflected in its warm, welcoming environment with beautifully themed classrooms that promote academic excellence, creativity and cultivation of taqwa through values-based and joyful learning programs where children feel safe to learn and grow into their potential.
Al-Taqwa College’s learning programs are based on Victorian Curriculum (VC) but grounded and guided by Islamic teachings and traditions based on the Quran and Sunnah that reflects its identity as an Islamic School.
Our My Muslim Identity (MMI) Framework drives the design of the College’s academic, student well-being, extra-curricular and co-curricular programs, ensuring delivery of a balanced and holistic education that lays strong foundations for the future.
The Upper Primary learning programs focus on the breadth of learning where students are exposed to the full range of the Victorian Curriculum (VC). Students explore and discover their strengths and talents while exploring new learning areas.
Learning programs are designed to teach students to be self-reliant, independent and reflective learners who are aware of their responsibilities towards Allah, themselves and their community.
Creativity is also on full display through student-led media and performance. Our ATC Live Media platform gives students a voice to share news and achievements, while the Love Your Vocals program inspires self-expression through building relation ships with Werribee zoo and love for animals.
As we reflect on the many successes of all past years, we are proud of the dedication, curiosity, and enthusiasm shown by our Grade 3–5 students. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our teaching team, families, and wider school community for their ongoing support in making these experiences so memorable and meaningful. We look forward to even more exciting opportunities ahead as we continue to nurture capable, confident, and compassionate learners.
