(Years 6-9)
At Al-Taqwa College, our Junior School provides a dynamic and supportive environment where students are encouraged to develop academically, socially, and emotionally, while fostering their Islamic faith. We believe that a well-rounded education extends beyond the classroom, and we provide a rich variety of experiences to engage and inspire our students.
From the very beginning of the school year, our Welcome Assembly organised by the YLCs, sets the tone for a strong sense of belonging, helping students feel comfortable and connected. Leadership is also a key focus, with our Captaincy Program giving students the opportunity to develop responsibility, teamwork, and confidence.
Academic enrichment is at the heart of our curriculum, supported by engaging activities such as Debates, Ramadan Quiz, Maths games, STEM projects, Art exhibition, Curriculum Weeks where students sharpen their creative and critical thinking skills. Incursions and excursions bring learning to life by offering real-world experiences beyond the textbook. Additionally, our Homework Club provides a supportive space for students to reinforce their learning with guidance from teachers.
Our commitment to student well-being is reflected in our Pastoral Care Program, which fosters emotional resilience and personal growth. Islamic talks and SWB bonding sessions further support this by strengthening peer relationships and promoting a positive school culture.
We also celebrate student achievements through our Awards Assembly, recognizing effort, progress, and excellence across various domains.
Beyond academics, we offer a range of extracurricular activities that allow students to explore their talents and interests, helping them develop skills and passions that will stay with them for life.
Parents play an integral role in our school community, and our Parent Information Sessions at the beginning of each year ensure strong collaboration between home and school.
