Junior School
(Years 6-9)
Al-Taqwa College Junior Secondary School consists of Years 7, 8 and 9.
Our College family-oriented and Islamic values are reflected in its warm, welcoming environment with beautifully themed classrooms that promote academic excellence, creativity and cultivation of taqwa through values-based and joyful learning programs where children feel safe to learn and grow into their potential.
Al-Taqwa College’s learning programs are based on Victorian Curriculum (VC) but grounded and guided by Islamic teachings and traditions based on the Quran and Sunnah that reflects its identity as an Islamic School.
Our My Muslim Identity (MMI) Framework drives the design of the College’s academic, student well-being, extra-curricular and co-curricular programs, ensuring delivery of a balanced and holistic education that lays strong foundations for the future.
The Junior Secondary learning programs continue to build on the breadth of the Victorian Curriculum and prepares students for pathways into Senior Secondary School by making them more aware of their strengths and interests.
This is achieved through tailored subject and career counselling activities, more involvement in community related extra-curricular activities along with student well-being and leadership programs.
Beyond academics, we offer a range of extracurricular activities that allow students to explore their talents and interests, helping them develop skills and passions that will stay with them for life.
Parents play an integral role in our school community, and our Parent Information Sessions at the beginning of each year ensure strong collaboration between home and school.
At the Junior School, we are dedicated to providing an engaging, supportive, and enriching environment where every child can thrive. We take pride in fostering confident, capable, and compassionate young learners who are prepared for the future.
