The Islamic Schools of Victoria (Werribee College) Inc. was established in June 1986 after its founder, Mr Omar Hallak realised the importance of educating young children in an Islamic Environment.
With this inspiration in mind, over 50 acres were purchased in Sayers Road, Truganina, Victoria. In the year 1986, the College began its first school year with a total of 25 students, building the foundations for its educational excellence.
The College has grown considerably since its inception, offering education from the Preparatory foundation) years to VCE. .
In 2009, a Masjid was established on the Al-Taqwa College grounds, funded entirely through the generosity of our community, with a total cost of approximately $4.5 million. The Masjid is a vital space where students come together for daily prayers and engage in a wide range of Islamic events and activities, enriching their spiritual development and fostering a strong sense of community.
